Quick answer: Two people can play King's Cup. Remove or replace group-dependent rules, use points or challenges, alternate draws, and finish on the fourth King or after a fixed time.
Two-Player Setup
- Place a shuffled deck between both players or open the online game.
- Choose a 20โ30 minute limit or the fourth King as the ending.
- Give each player one free pass.
- Replace Categories, Rhyme, Waterfall, and group signals with the versions below.
Recommended Two-Player Replacements
- Ace: both hold a pose; the drawer may stop first.
- 5: Thumb Master still works and changes hands on the next 5.
- 9: alternate rhymes until someone repeats or pauses.
- 10: alternate category answers with a five-second limit.
- Queen: ask one trivia question instead of maintaining Question Master.
- King: add one written challenge to a bowl; the fourth King draws one.
Optional Scoring
Give one penalty point for losing a challenge and two for drawing the fourth King. Lowest score wins. Scoring makes the ending clearer without changing the card-draw loop.
Play on One Device
Place a phone between both players and alternate taps. The deck removes drawn cards automatically, so neither player needs to deal or track which cards remain.
